We had a fabulous family vacation to Destin this past week. It was the first time we have taken the boys to the beach, and they LOVED it!
Tyson boogie boarded like crazy and after the first day was no longer wearing his water wings and just swimming and diving into the waves all day long. Jace rode the waves like big brother, and especially liked digging in the sand.
It was rare to catch them sitting and resting for a few minutes.
We enjoyed some beautiful days on the beach and had fun eating at the restaurants along the beach. Most important lesson we learned while there......our family does NOT like seafood!! Silas and I tried to enjoy it but it is just not my favorite. We gave Jace one bite of crab leg which he immediately spit out on his plate, and then proceeded to throw up all over everything!! He just glared at me and said, "Do not ever give me crabs again!!" Believe me son, I won't!Silas enjoying the sea breeze before dinner.
We had fabulous weather the whole time we were there:)Tyson is a beach bum! He could stay out there all day and night, playing in the water and digging in the sand.
Jace kept saying he didn't like the sand, but threw a fit when it was time to leave the beach.
Silas sure enjoyed the views and a much needed break from the stress of the office. We need to do this more often!
I had a great time, but have to admit being pregnant and being in the sun and sand all day did wear me out! I am looking forward to our next beach trip when I might have a little bit more energy.

Cool pirate mast. We had water gun fights, mopped the deck, spotted treasure out to sea and pulled it up from the water, got their faces painted and had all sorts of pirate fun!! Poor Jace got tired and worn out, but I know they enjoyed the experience. It was so nice to get away as a family and explore new places, all while making fun family memories. I grew up going to Destin and it was extra special getting to take my sweet little guys there and make new memories at the beach. We are all looking forward to planning our next trip to spend some time in the sun and the sand:)
