Crazy Snow!!!
We got some awesome snow here in Jonesboro this week. I think we got somewhere between 7 and 9 inches, which is way more than our usual 1 or 2:) It was also Tyson's first time to really see snow and understand what it was, which was so much fun too. Luckily we were able to borrow a little sled from some friends, and Tyson and Silas had a blast sledding down the hill right in front of our house.
Silas got a workout running with Tyson up and down the hill in the crazy snow.
I don't know what it is about kids, but the cold just does not phase them one bit! Tyson looked like a popsicle/snowman with all the snow sticking to him. I put Vaseline on his cheeks before he went out and he had frozen drops of water sticking all over his face and eyelashes, and he didn't even notice! We had to drag him back inside to warm him up, even though he wanted to keep playing.
Here is one of Silas chasing Ty down the hill. Tyson loved the sled and had a wonderful time playing in his first big snow. He thought it was fabulous to eat too. I made him some snow cream this morning, but he actually liked the plain snow better:) Crazy kid!! I am so happy we got a great snow and that Tyson has really gotten to enjoy it. We got a little stir crazy today and ended up having several families over from church for a little get-together. The older kids and dads got to sled and play outside, while the moms and younger kids held down the fort in the house. It was a great day and everyone had such a good time. I am so thankful for winter's little gift to us of a few fun play days at home with our friends and family:)
