Mealtime

Ty has been doing such a good job eating lately, and really seems to enjoy almost all food. He has loved everything we have given him, except the green peas. I have tried them on several different occasions and he will eat a few bites and then start spitting them back out. It is just really funny, since he can't seem to get enough of everything else! He had a saltine cracker crushed up for the first time last night after supper, and he had a great time trying to pick up the pieces and get them in his mouth. It kept him entertained long enough for Silas and I to actually sit down at the table and eat our own meal!!! The gigantic mess he made was so worth it though!!!
He went for his 6 month check-up on Friday and got a great report. He continues to grow well both physically and developmentally. He is up to 17 pounds and 26.5 inches tall. He has gone down to the 50th percentile in weight, but the doctor said it was just because he moves all the time and is burning more calories! He is going to have to eat like a horse to keep his weight up once he starts crawling and walking, since he can move so much when he isn't even mobile! He handled his shots well as usual and only had one fussy night. Thank goodness we get a break and he won't have to get more shots until he is a year old:) I know we will both enjoy that.
Well, that is about all for now. Hope you enjoy his messy faces as he was loving his green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes and squash!

Such a big boy! At 6 months, we out weighs Olivia when she turned 12 months!
I am glad to hear he likes all food, except for peas...I don't blame him.
I believe at 9 months, you can start giving him yogurt, and he will love that.
